Let's Get Acquainted
About me? I'm ALL ABOUT LIFE! Energetic, driven, joyful, spastic, passionate, overly sentimental and never satisfied with the status quo. I love being outside, water skiing, gardening, hanging around the fire, and even sitting in a tree during hunting season. I love making so many things.... homemade food, art, photography, crochet and most of all MUSIC, and am lucky enough to do that with my hubs in our band, "Structurally Sound." I love dreaming and working with creative people and making an impact, which I do as a leader in an awesome architectural firm.
This blog came out of my desire to connect with like-minded thinkers, and honestly, to practice my writing. It's something I typically avoid at all costs, but am itching to get better at articulating my thoughts. Thanks for being a guinea pig!
Like many of you, I'm on a life-long search for purpose and impact in this crazy world of ours. As a 40-something who has spent her entire adult life identifying primarily as a working MOM, I find myself now with an empty nest, refining on a daily basis who I am and what I stand for now that those awesome boys are making their own way in the world.
As a visitor here, I hope you'll gain some insights.... we'll explore whatever happens to float my boat that day. Everything from self-compassion to the creative process to music and homemade pasta (gluten-free, even!). I look forward to your insights on those and many more subjects too!
